When you think about the Italian Dolomites your mind might wander straight to Lago di Braies or The Cime di Lavaredo, but there are so many other beautiful, raw, untouched spots in the Dolomites, without crowds and equally, if not more, jaw-dropping backdrops. Growing up in the Italian Dolomites Marcus knows like no others the hidden gems. 

He and Catherine decided to return from America tracing back Marcus’s roots and wild nature and elope at the foot of Lago di Boe in the heart of the Dolomites, surrounded by their closest crew, and the best scenery! And tagging me along on their adventure as their photographer and Jlenia as their wedding planner was the coolest thing ever.

After their preparation in a luxury mountain hotel in the cute village of Cortina, we drove to Piz Boe in the region of Alta Badia for their intimate mountain ceremony, some flowers adding a romantic and bohemian touch. The moody weather adds that little extra drama.

Nothing was missing.

We then took some beautiful couple photos at Lago di Boe, after which we made our way up to the venue. Piz Boe Alpine Lounge was the perfect place to relax, get cosy and enjoy the mesmerising landscape for the rest of the day!
