AN ALGARVE WEDDING STORY

Eloping is all about following your heart, your wildest dreams… and the wind. That’s exactly what Camila and Andrea did. Spectacular views, golden rays, salty vibes, earthy hues. That’s all these two needed to celebrate their love. And that’s as roots and wild and beautiful as it will get. Exactly how I like it! 

Camila is Spanish, Andrea is Italian and their shared love for the ocean brought them to the wild shores of Portugal, where they met. 

The day started off early at sunrise when they said yes with only the waves and the wind as their silent witness. Because of the wind, we couldn’t install the decorations the wedding planner had in mind, but who needs any extra embellishments when you have this natural decor already, right?

From there we drove to a beautiful surf beach on the coast of Algarve to take some effortless couple shots. The day ended as we started it. Barefoot, in their natural habitat, hair in the wind, at the source of their love… The ocean. In line with who they are. And what they stand for. In life. As a couple. Together. Isn’t that the real luxury?

Late afternoon we met at a glamping where the couple first met a few years ago. Tucked away in the woods, surrounded by treehouses and tipi tents, this was the perfect location to get ready. Camila in her wedding dress with intricate details, a hat, and a dried flower bouquet.. seemed a bohemian festival bride. Andrea, who got ready in the treehouse in the woods, with a green linen shirt, casual pants, and leather jacket added an extra edgy touch.
