GETTING MARRIED ON A SAILBOAT

A LAKE COMO WEDDING

Sofia's from Ireland, James is from North-Africa and together they live in London. It's their shared love for Italy and open waters that led them to Lake Como following their wind and celebrating their love. Thanks to the overseeing eye of their wedding planner Cat erina Lostia the setting was anything but ordinary: a sailing ship taken from a pirate novel as their dance floor, their dog Grizzly as the only guest and Lake Como as their backdrop. Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley couldn’t have done it better.

We met at 4pm on the boat for their intimate ceremony by the captain himself. Driving into the sunset they popped some bottles. After, they got cosy and enjoyed a dinner in a dreamy, romantic setting.

Everything was kept simple to let the stunning scenery speak for itself as much as possible. The result was elegant and effortlessly chic, the flowers, decoration and stationary adding a playful touch

Sofia and James blended in the enchanting setting perfectly. Choosing Sanvenero for his attire and Santimon loafers, the groom went for Italian classy. The bride on the other hand went for a more dreamy look with a pastel blue dress by Iris Noble and ocean inspired jewellery by Giulia Lentini.

The couple had only booked me for some hours to keep it as intimate as possible, but it was just too good as an elopement photographer not to stay until after sunset. It's not every day I have an office like this and a couple like this in front of my camera!
